Elections

Clerk Office Hours Prior to each Election:

  • Saturday, 8:00am-12:00pm
  • Sunday, 8:00am-12:00pm unless otherwise noted.

Absentee Voting

  • Early/Absentee Voting: By appointment.
  • Online Absentee Applications
  • There is a DropBox attached to the Township building, for all absentee applications/ballots. It is checked daily.
  • Online Voter Registration (You may only register online up until 15 days prior to the election. Otherwise, you must register in person with a verifying document ex: bank statement, utility bill with CURRENT address)
  • Voting will be open at the Polls at the Township Hall from 7:00 am – 8:00 pm.

Absentee Voting

Early voting for each listed municipality below will be held at the Big Rapids Charter Township Hall, 14230 Northland Drive, Big Rapids MI 49307 on the following dates for the upcoming elections:

Early voting dates for November 5th, 2024 General Election:
October 26th – November 3rd, 8:30am-4:30pm

  • Please note Absentee Voting will be phasing out after the 11/24 Election. If you wish to vote Absentee you may either: Fill out a form for ALL future elections you wish to vote in, OR, be placed on our Permanent Ballot List where you will receive a ballot automatically for each election.

*Important to note that our frequent travelers must notify the clerk if they need a ballot forwarded as the USPS will NOT forward ballots.*
